RIVER CITY DRUM CORP

River City Drum Corp Cultural Arts Institute, Inc. (RCDC) has enriched Louisville youth and families through arts and educational enhancement for over 25 years.

The Corp was founded under the direction of Edward ‘Nardie’ White while at the Parkland Girls’ & Boys’ Club. Shortly afterward, the Corp moved its office and programming to Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church in West Louisville. Since then, the group has acquired non-profit status and expanded educational programming to include: pipe drumming, drumline, percussion, piano, cultural arts enhancement, leadership and social skills development, career exploration, and professional skills development.

Our Vision

Provide a structured environment and support system to stimulate youth as community leaders and create a community where live music is enhanced and strengthened through the "Spirit of the Drum."

Our Mission

River City Drum Corp Cultural Arts Institute, Inc. programs are designed to enhance the development of African American families with children through education, arts, and culture.

Our Purpose

Our purpose is to provide opportunities for families to reconnect to African Americans' vast historical accomplishments in building America and use this information as a foundation for rebuilding our families and community.
